Jewish Ministeries International
Rev. Monty Coble and his wife of 30 years, Helen, have been in fulltime ministry since 1998.  He was ordained an Elder of the Church of the Nazarene in 2001.  In May of 2000, Monty joined Rabbi Jack Zimmerman and his wife Sandie in planting Beth Simchat HaMashiach, Church of the Nazarene where for the first 3 1/2 years he served director of the multi-media area.  In September of 2003, as a natural part of the birthing process, Beth Simchat left the mother church and Monty took on the duties as the congregational administrator where he served until October 2007.

As a part of a growing congregation, the first of its kind in the Church of the Nazarene, Monty was instrumental in discipling new believers and well as training leadership in the local congregation.  Rabbi Zimmerman was selected by the Church of the Nazarene to plan the strategy for evangelizing the Jewish culture in the United States and Canada.  As his assistant, it became obvious to both of them that while the Church is excited and desires greatly to reach the Jewish culture with the gospel, it is not prepared to do so because of a lack of trained ministers in the culture.  With that in mind, the two of them developed a 12 course study on the Jewish culture which has been approved by the General Church to be taught as continuing education classes through the Nazarene Bible College’s online program.  The first class will begin in September 2008.Another need is the for someone to come along side new church plants as a consultant, guide, and most importantly friend.  Especially in helping the plants to evangelize through the annual festivals which is an effective tool in reaching the non-believing Jewish community.

Still another need is helping in the area of world missions, especially to the Jewish cultures in the different mission field around the world.  The goal is to send work teams to those mission field who have been trained in reaching the Jewish people in their cultural circumstances, introducing them to the Greatest Jew of all, Jesus our Messiah!

Our Goal is to use whatever means or media necessary to get the job accomplished.  One of the problem with the Messianic Movement as it is today, is the lack of faithfulness to the biblical doctrine, you never know from one congregation to the next what is being taught.  For that reason, our ministry is only carried out through the traditional churches who love and support Israel as God’s chosen people, whose heritage has become the basis for our biblical heritage.  While our initial and primary ministry is in the Church of the Nazarene, we are not bound by denominational limits.

Blessings,

Monty
